Korem Donates Over $100,000 This Year!

QUEBEC CITY, December 20, 2022 – The holiday season is all about helping, sharing, and giving. Korem has been dedicated to the well-being of its community throughout the year to promote a better world and a better future, especially for young people.

In 2022, over $100,000 was donated to 12 different causes in which we sincerely believe.

We participated in several fundraising events to help people from at-risk backgrounds or living in difficult social and economic situations. Among them, we can mention those for the Fondation du Centre Communautaire Jacques-Cartier, the Jeunes musiciens du monde, the Canadian Red Cross, the YWCA Quebec as well as the Refuge des Jeunes de Montréal. Our Korem Machines also participated in large numbers in Operation Santa Claus by donating or by becoming a Santa Claus themselves for a child in need.

In addition, we have continued to support scientific research with the goal of improving the health and quality of life of people affected by the disease. For a third consecutive year, Korem was a Bronze Donor at the Québec City Daffodil benefit dinner for the Canadian Cancer Society. Our Korem Machines also gave their best during the Défibrose Mont-Sainte-Anne to support Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

Lastly, to help young students build a promising future and encourage the next generation of professionals, we offered two scholarships to the Fondation du Cégep Limoilou and are one of the four founding partners of the Support Fund in Geomatics Engineering of the Faculty of Forestry, Geography and Geomatics of Université Laval. We also contributed to the implementation of an after-school sports and arts program conceived by the Laurent-Duvernay-Tardif Foundation.
