Engineer and Geographer, Stéphane Roche is a full professor of Geographical information sciences at Université Laval in Québec City, Canada and, Associate Dean for Research and Studies at the Faculté de Foresterie, Géographie et Géomatique. He is especially interested in exploring the role of social geolocation (LBSN), open data and crowdsourcing to support the implementation and operation of smart city concepts.
